Preston Park Car Show

This weekend my family and I decided to make the most of the nice weather. We noticed there was the annual Fire Engine & Vintage Vehicle Rally at Preston Park which sounded brilliant for our little one Jack, who just LOVES everything vehicle based.

Preston Hall Fire Engine & Vintage Vehicle Rally 2017 is one of the Norths major rallies of preserved vehicles. It’s been running for 25+ years and has now grown into a popular and very successful annual event. Regularly attracting some 300 exhibitors. The exhibits cover the history of fire-fighting from its earliest times to the most modern of appliances, and motoring in general terms from the 30s to the present day.

Preston Park Car Show

We didn’t know too much about the event, only that it had a Monster Truck display and a lot of Fire Engines, which was enough to keep our little ones entertained.

“It was as quick as a Porche to accerlate to 60mph, it used around £70 of fuel for a couple of 5 minute shows and it weighed several tonnes!”

The first display we watched was ‘Swamp Thing’ which was the 4×4 Monster Truck. The driver went through some stats on the Truck itself which were mind blowing! It was as quick as a Porche to accerlate to 60mph, it used around £70 of fuel for a couple of 5 minute shows and it weighed several tonnes! The sound was deafening and the height it got to from a standing start to jumping over the cars was amazing to watch. I would love to see it perform in a larger show where it could reach it’s full potential.

We then saw the Fire Engine display which had such an array of vehicles from the early 1900’s to the moderm vehicles you see today. Jack loved it as he got to see Fireman Sam and hear all the sirens.

Next up was for me the highlight of the day. The White Helmets who are a Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team. The skill and entertainment level was brilliant. There was a great mix of adrenaline stunts and comical action to keep people of all ages entertained. I couldn’t take my eyes off them, the opposite of which could be said for my son Joshua who did not want to look!

We then spent the rest of the day walking around the rest of the exhibits and enjoyed a lovely picnic before heading home. It was the first time we’ve been to this event but I don’t think it’ll be the last as it was such a great day out and for a change it was cheap!

Friendly Relaxed Portrait Sessions

It brings me great pleasure when a client chooses me to capture images of their loved ones. I aim to provide a friendly and relaxed experience to all clients, which allows everyone to enjoy the photoshoot. The more relaxed you are with me behind the camera the more of your personality will show in the final images.

I have travelled to many different locations around the North East for photoshoots and just love working with new customers in different locations. All my packages include a shoot tailored to you, so if there is that one special location you have fond memories of then why not capture those memories.
