It’s Bluebell Time!

I have recently had my Facebook Page filled with lovely pictures of Bluebells in a local woods near Raby Castle so decided to take a visit and see if I could get any shots of Milly in amongst them.

The weather was very temperamental but I decided to risk it in the hope the sun would shine for long enough to get some nice images. Luckily it did and even though the light wasn’t what I had hoped for it was enough to get some lovely shots of Milly playing in the woods.

I took my camera flashgun to illuminate a darkened woods if required and set off on the route. I had never been there before but it immediately became apparent why so many people frequented there as the floor of the woods was completely blanketed with bluebells.

“I tiptoed round the bluebells and found some nice areas where the light was just breaking through the trees”

Milly stayed close to my side to begin with as it was an unfamiliar area but soon settled down and went off exploring through the woods. I tiptoed round the bluebells and found some nice areas where the light was just breaking through the trees and starting shooting away.

It was a lovely circular walking route which lead down to the bottom of the woods to show Raby Castle in the distance. Virtually everywhere you looked there were vibrant bluebells so I managed to get Milly to pose in difference positions to try and showcase off the best the woods had to offer.

On the final section of the walk I passed a lovely couple that had a Cocker Spaniel of a similar age to Milly. They had a really good run around together and they were surprised to learn how fast Milly was even though she was a lot smaller than their spaniel.

Once the dogs had tired each other out and could barely breathe we finished off the walk and jumped back in the car. It turned out to be a great little walk in a stunning setting which was completely down to the showing of bluebells.

Relaxed Pet Portrait Sessions

People say don't work with animals and children but I obviously don't agree! I'm an animal lover and pet owner myself, so understand how to work with the them to get the best images from the session.

I aim to provide a friendly and relaxed experience for both owner and pet, which allows everyone to enjoy the photoshoot.

I have travelled to many different locations around the North East for photoshoots and just love working with new customers in different locations. All my packages include a shoot tailored to you, so if there is that one special location you have fond memories of then why not capture those memories.
